Slovak ruling party joins European Socialist ranks

EurActiv Slovakia reports that the governing party of Prime Minister Robert Fico, 'Smer-Social Democracy', was accepted as a full member of the Party of European Socialists (PES) on the 8 December 2009, despite Belgian and Hungarian delegates voting against the move.
