On 28 November 2007, the European Commission approved an Operational Programme for the Slovak Republic for the period 2007-2013, entitled 'Competitiveness & Economic Growth'. The Programme involves Community support for all the Slovak regions within the framework laid out for the Convergence Objective and has a total budget of around €908 million. Community investment through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) amounts to some €772 million, which represents approximately 2.9% of the total EU investment earmarked for the Slovak Republic under the Cohesion Policy for 2007-13. |
