The Slovak Republic's Parliamentary Speaker, Richard Sulik said in December 2010 that Slovakia, which joined the eurozone in 2009, should have a 'plan B' to return to its national currency.

However, the Slovak Prime Minister Iveta Radicova reacted by saying that, in the long run, the euro's advantages for the Slovak economy outweight its disadvantages.
