Six nations in combat aircraft deal

Under an agreement signed in Brussels on 19 November 2001, six European countries will combine efforts on developing technologies for future combat aircraft, including unmanned vehicles. The agreement will be a big step towards eradicating wasteful duplication in weapons procurement. A further aim of the agreement is to encourage and underpin Europe's defence industry.
