Security sting at the check-in

New United States rules for a passenger data collection scheme threaten to cause long delays at check-in and raise ethical questions about a passenger's right to privacy of information. European airlines may be punished by the US if they fail to provide access to the Passenger Name Record, but also facing the threat of possible prosecution in the European Union for breaching EU data protection rules.
