According to the European Commission’s latest Internal Market Scoreboard, on average 1.6% of Internal Market Directives have missed the deadline for being written into national law, though the general trend is going in the right direction. The incorrect transposition and application of Internal Market rules remains a problem, however, and there is an upward trend in the number of infringement cases.
