Many multinationals are sceptical about the benefits of a pan-European corporate tax system, according to a survey that will fuel the controversy over the European Commission's attempt to reduce tax obstacles in the single market. Only a third of Europe-based multinationals believed that a common consolidated corporate tax base would be good for European business, according to a poll of 110 tax directors by PwC, professional services group.
