Saab on brink of collapse after court rejects plea for protection

Article reports that in September 2011 Saab Automobile was teetering on collapse for the second time in three years after a Swedish court rejected the company’s plea for protection from its creditors.

However, on the 21 September 2011 Saab’s owners Swedish Automobile said that the carmaker and its engines and tools divisions had received approval for their proposal to reorganise in bankruptcy from the Court of Appeal in Gothenburg.
