Ryanair seeks Brussels go-ahead on Aer Lingus bid

Ryanair has notified the European competition authorities of its proposed takeover of Aer Lingus, its smaller Irish rival, but there were growing doubts about whether the size of the deal was big enough to place it within the European Commission's' jurisdiction.
