Russia cuts gas supplies to Belarus

Dmitry Medvedev, Russia’s president, ordered state-controlled Gazprom to cut gas supplies to Belarus on the 21 June 2010 after debt talks between the Russian gas monopoly and Beltrangaz, its Belarusian customer, ended in a stand-off.
