Special Feature: Speaking in Tongues: Celebrating Linguistic Diversity

Summary:

This issue's special feature highlights seven EU-funded projects that are working to preserve and enhance Europe's linguistic diversity.  Life After meets again a former Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow whose research is focused on the notion that the sound of our voice, or, the perception that others have about our voice when they first hear it, can lead to both subtle and unsubtle forms of discrimination.  The Project of the Month meets IN-PREP, a project that has been developing new technologies that will help emergency services better respond to emergencies and disaster,  The thematic sections cover everything from Health to Security, Energy to Fundamental Research (and more).  Finally, the EU Agenda feature returns, highlighting upcoming events in October.
