Report to the European Commission on the supply shortage of radiopharmaceuticals (status as of 24 October 2008)

The European Medicines Agency (EMEA), in March 2009, published a report addressing short-, medium- and long-term aspects of the supply shortage of radiopharmaceuticals that occurred during autumn 2008. Prepared at the request of the European Commission, the report provides an analysis of the situation and the actions taken at the time, as well as recommendations regarding manufacturing and use of radiopharmaceuticals in the medium and longer term.
