Report on the exercise of the delegation conferred on the Commission pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 443/2009

Summary:

On 8 November 2018 the European Commission presented a report on the exercise of the delegation conferred by Regulation (EC) No 443/2009 setting emission performance standards for new passenger cars as part of the Union's integrated approach to reduce CO2 emissions from light-duty vehicles.

Further information:

Regulation (EC) No 443/2009 sets targets for the average CO2 emissions from new passenger cars registered in the Union, to be achieved by means of improvements in vehicle technology and innovative technologies.

The Regulation empowers the Commission to adopt delegated acts for a period of five years, running from 8 April 2014. The Commission is also required to present a report on the exercise of the delegation.
