Report damages Ireland’s Nice vote campaign

The Irish Government's campaign for a Yes vote in its referendum to ratify the Nice Treaty on enlargement of the European Union was thrown into turmoil on 27 September 2002 when its campaign director was forced to resign after publication of a damning judicial report into corrupt payments to politicians.
