Remarks by the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy following his meeting with the President of Honduras Juan Orlando Hernández

On the 2 October 2014, the President of the European Council Herman Von Rompuy met the President of Honduras Juan Orlando Hernández in Brussels.

During the meeting, they discussed at length the state and development of our bilateral and regional relations. They expressed satisfaction with the strengthened ties between the European Union and Honduras, following the conclusion of the Association Agreement, and the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement with Central America.

At the end, he insured that the European Union was ready to support Honduras' efforts further
in tackling citizen security problems.
