Remarks by Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council, following his meeting with Ivo Josipović, President of Croatia, Zagreb, 6 July 2010

Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council, met President Josipović for the third time in less than 6 months. He congratulated the President for the progress Croatia has made in European integration efforts. This progress is important not only for this country, but for the region as a whole as well. The most important message of this visit is to emphasise the commitment of the European Union to the European perspective and the stability of this region.
