Summary: Regulation (EU) 2021/2269 - adopted by the European Union on 15 December 2021 - introducing amendments to Regulation (EU) 2018/1091 concerning the contribution of the EU for integrated farm statistics, in the framework of Council Regulation (EU, Euratom) 2020/2093. This is a text with EEA relevance. Further information: Regulation (EU) 2018/1091 establishes a simplified and modernised system for collecting European agricultural statistics at farm level, and provides a series of relevant definitions. It requires that Member States carry out integrated farm surveys in 2020, 2023 and 2026. It also establishes the budget allocation for the entire duration of the relevant Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF). Regulation (EU, Euratom) 2020/2093 lays down the European Union's Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) for the period 2021-2027. The first Regulation includes a provision for establishing the data collection budget for the surveys conducted in 2023 and 2026. It states that following the date of entry of the MFF 2021-27, the amount should be fixed by the co-legislators based on a proposal from the European Commission. The Commission therefore tabled a draft law on 12 August 2021 introducing amendments to Regulation (EU) 2018/1091 when it comes to the allocation of the financial envelope. The proposal was adopted by the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament on 15 December 2021. The Act was published in the Official Journal on 21 December 2021. |
