Further information: The Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking ('BBI JU') is a body entrusted with the implementation of a public-private partnership whose members are the European Union (represented by the Commission) and the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC). BBI JU was established by Council Regulation (EU) No 560/2014 for the implementation of the Joint Technology Initiative on Bio-based Industries until 31 December 2024. The European Commission on 22 February 2017 proposed an amendment to the Regulation as regards the legal specificities of the financial contribution referred to in Articles 12(3)(b) and 12(4) of the Statutes annexed to Council Regulation (EU) No 560/2014. The Council of the European Union authorised the amendment on 23 January 2018. |
