Refugee crisis after Valetta, Antalya and Paris

The days from the 11 November 2015 were a pivotal time for the future of Europe's response to the refugee crisis. The EU-Africa summit in Valletta, 11-12 November 2015 placed the focus on the western Mediterranean migration route and the G20 summit in Antalya, 15-16 November 2015 saw at least a rhetorical internationalisation of the crisis. But it was the 13 November 2015 brutal terrorist attacks in Paris that produced the greatest short term effect with many across Europe now explicitly linking migration with terrorism.
