Britain's sex equality watchdog, the Equal Opportunities Commission, has thrown threw its weight behind moves by the European Commission to eradicate sex discrimination in areas ranging from motor and medical insurance to pension payments. However, the Association of British Insurers, say that there are good reasons for differences in motor insurance premiums.
