Putin urges banks to boost lending

Article reports that the Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told the heads of Russia’s leading banks on the 29 June 2009 not to plan any summer holidays but to help overcome the steep recession by lending more – even as the country braced itself for a surge in bad loans.
