Prospects for the European Union in 2006 and retrospective of the UK’s Presidency of the EU, 1 July to 31 December 2005

This White Paper is in two parts. The first part presents a summary of EU business over the second half of 2005, during which the UK held the Presidency of the EU. The second part covers all of 2006 and looks forward to the work of the European Union in 2006. It was presented to Parliament by the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs in January 2006.
