Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of species of wild fauna and flora by regulating trade therein (Recast)

Council Regulation (EC) No 338/97 of 9 December 1996 on the protection of species of wild fauna and flora by regulating trade therein has been substantially amended several times. Since further amendments are to be made, it should be recast in the interests of clarity.
