Proposal for a Council Implementing Regulation imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty and collecting definitively the provisional duty imposed on imports of certain organic coated steel products originating in the People’s Republic of China

This proposal concerns the application of Article 5 of Council Regulation (EC) No 1225/2009 of 30 November 2009 on protection against dumped imports from countries not members of the European Community.

This proposal is made in the context of the implementation of the basic Regulation and is the result of an investigation which was carried out in line with the substantive and procedural requirements laid out in the basic Regulation.

On 18 September 2012, the Commission imposed provisional anti-dumping duties on imports of certain organic coated steel products originating in the People's Republic of China. The investigation found dumping of the product concerned, which caused injury to the Union industry. The investigation also found that it was not against the Union interest to impose anti-dumping measures. Therefore, it is proposed that the Council adopts the attached proposal for a Regulation in order to impose definitive anti-dumping measures on imports of certain organic coated steel products originating in the People's Republic of China.
