Inspectors from the UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) are being sent to France to check the safety of French beef, amid growing concern over the spread of BSE in Europe. The UK Agriculture Minister, Nick Brown, said he would take FSA advice and would support a ban on imports of French beef if one were recommended - even though it was likely to be illegal. |
