Press Release: Western Balkans: launch of first European Partnerships, Annual Report

The European Commission approved on 30 March 2004 the first ever European Partnerships for the Western Balkans which are inspired by the Accession Partnerships that have helped prepare countries for eventual European Union membership in the past. The Partnerships are based on the third Annual Reports on these countries, also published on 30 March 2004.

The Western Balkans include Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Serbia and Montenegro, and Kosovo
