Viviane Reding, member of the European Commission responsible for Education, Culture and Sport, paid an official visit to Australia 14-19 September 2000. The Commissioner met the Australian Ministers responsible for Justice, Sport, Culture and Education, as well as Shadow Ministers. She also met industry representatives to discuss matters dealing with her portfolio. Mrs Reding represented the European Commission at the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games. |
