Press Release: Very high air pollution levels across Western Europe

High pollutant levels experienced in parts of France, Belgium and Germany in the spring of 2014 led some areas to take urgent action to lower air pollution – for example, public transport was free in Paris over the weekend of 15-16 March 2014 as an incentive for people to avoid car use.
