Press Release: Urgent Action Needed to Tackle Illegal Fishing, Says OECD

Maritime countries must take urgent action to tackle illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing before stocks in many parts of the world dwindle even further, according to the OECD. The extent of the threat and the measures needed to bring the problem under control was discussed at an international workshop organised by the OECD's Committee for Fisheries in Paris on 19-20 April, 2004.
