Press Release: Unlocking enterprises’ potential: a big week for small business in Europe

Preview of a series of SME Days which were held in Brussels on 12 June 2006 and in many national capitals, during the first two weeks of June 2006 dealing with the role of small and medium-sized enterprises in the European Union. The start of the European Charter for Small Enterprises Annual Conference was scheduled for 13-14 June in Vienna. Organised by the Commission and the Austrian Presidency, this event aimed to encourage the exchange of good practice between Member States with a view to further improve the environment for small businesses throughout Europe.
