Press Release: UN Security Council supports Interpol and Europol role in combating maritime piracy

A resolution by the United Nations Security Council calling on all 192 member countries to work with Interpol and Europol to fight criminal networks involved in maritime piracy off the coast of Somalia, was hailed as ‘an important step forward’ by both organisations in November 2010.
