Press Release: The European Union disburses €100 million in aid to Tunisia

The European Commission disbursed on 1 December 2015 a loan of €100 million to Tunisia on behalf of the European Union. This represents the second tranche of the €300 million Macro-Financial Assistance (MFA) programme to the country.

The MFA programme is part of wider efforts by the EU and other international donors to help Tunisia overcome its economic challenges.

On the same day, it was announced that Tunisia would be a part of the Horizon 2020 prohect, the EU's research and innovation funding scheme.
