Press Release: The EESC brings its expertise to the EU Employment Summit

On 6 May in Prague, the 'Pre-Jobs Summit', bringing together both the EESC and national Economic and Social Councils, the President of the European Economic and Social Committee, Mario Sepi, the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, Commissioner Vladimír Špidla and other stakeholders, will discuss the EESC's proposals on how to overcome the economic crisis and secure jobs. The EESC's contribution, specifically requested by Mr Barroso, will feed into the discussions at the EU Employment Summit held in Prague the following day.
