Press Release: Summary of remarks to the press by Javier Solana, EU High Representative for the CFSP on the Gaza crisis

Javier Solana, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), told reporters today (21.1.09) that it is essential to open up Gaza to allow humanitarian aid to enter. He said that the European Union is engaged at the humanitarian, political and economic levels and is sparing no effort to get relief to those in need and to help ensure that the ceasefire holds and that the peace process itself is taken forward.
