The Commission adopted on the 18 July 2000 a decision approving the education, training and employment 'Operational Programme' for England and Gibraltar for the next seven years. This Objective 3 Programme is financed by the European Social Fund (ESF), one of the four European Structural Funds. EU support for the seven year period will total €4,112 million. The decision is one of several currently being adopted by the Commission to launch the new Structural Funds programming period |
