Press Release: Statement by High Representative Catherine Ashton on behalf of the European Union on the visit by the Sudanese Minister for Defence, Abdelrahim Mohamed Hussein, to the Central African Republic

High Representative Catherine Ashton on 27 August 2013 made a statement on behalf of the European Union that she is concerned by the non-execution of the warrant for the arrest of Abdelrahim Mohamed Hussein, Sudanese Minister for National Defence, during his recent visit to the Central African Republic. She underlined that this constitutes a violation of the Central African Republic's obligations as a party to the Rome Statute.
