Press Release: State aid: Commission clarifies scope of EU State aid rules to facilitate public investment

On 19 May 2016 the European Commission published guidance on when public spending falls within, and outside, the scope of EU State aid control. This guidance helped public authorities and companies to identify when public support measures could be granted without needing approval under EU State aid rules.
