Press Release: Senior trade officials complete one day of talks in Geneva amid signs that momentum for a new Trade Round is growing

On 28 March 2001 an informal meeting of senior trade officials from twenty key countries took place in Geneva. The purpose of the meeting was to assess prospects for a successful 4th World Trade Organisation (WTO) Ministerial Conference in Doha, Qatar (scheduled for November 2001) and the question of a new Trade Round.
