Meeting on 26 May 2005 the Committee of national experts for air safety from the EU Member States took a number of decisions to find a common approach to the Onur Air affair. For breach of safety regulations Turkish airline Onur Air had been banned from flying in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and France in mid May 2005. The Committee decided to extend the ban to the whole of the EU. It was also agreed to develop a warning system to co-ordinate measures to be taken against airlines from third countries. |
