Press Release: Rules on economic migration should provide hope for immigrants and flexibility for Member States, says CoR report

The admission of economic migrants into the EU should be conditional upon specific job vacancies and require immigrant workers to return to their country of origin once their job permits had expired. This was one of the key findings of an opinion adopted by the Committee of the Regions at its Plenary Session on 7 July 2005.
