RABIT Operation 2010, which came to an end on 2 March 2011, achieved a significant reduction of 76% between the average daily numbers of irregular migrants crossing the Greek-Turkish land border between October 2010 and February 2011. Frontex will continue to support Greece in the management of irregular migration at its land and sea borders with Turkey through the continuing provisions of Joint Operation (JO) Poseidon, which was active in the area prior to the RABIT deployment. |
