On 13.7.00 the European Commission decided to refer Germany to the European Court of Justice in respect of two cases, one involving the city of Braunschweig, the other involving the municipality of Bockhorn in Lower Saxony. In both cases the Commission believes that rules on public procurement, stipulating that contracts are awarded under open and competitive conditions, have not been respected. |
