The European Transport Workers' Federation Cabin Crew Committee, representing more than 80,000 cabin crew working in the European Union and Central and Eastern Europe, welcomes the proposal to license cabin crew by means of a certificate of professional competence issued by the Aviation Authority as specified in the amended proposal [COM (2004) 73 final) of Council Regulation 3922/91 on the harmonisation of technical requirements and administrative procedures in the field of civil aviation as presented by the European Commission.
