Press Release: Prevent irreversible damage to Virunga National Park, says EP

The European Parliament plenary session approved a resolution on 17 December 2015 calling for measures to protection the Virunga National Park, in the Democratic Republic of Cong (DRC).

This park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the home to the endangered mountain gorilla species, and it was seen by members of the parliament as one of the most dangerous places in the world when it comes to wildlife conservation.
