The European Commission decided on 17 January 2002 to take the Federal Republic of Germany to the Court of Justice of the European Communities, following the failure of the national authorities to notify the necessary measures for transposing into national law the Directive on pressure equipment. This Directive was meant to be transposed by the Member States by 29 May 1999 at the latest. |
