The studies showed that EU issues are increasingly present in the Polish schools' curriculum. Junior secondary schools organise contests and competitions testing pupils' knowledge of EU affairs and lessons specifically devoted to EU issues. Two-thirds of polled schools reported having established school European clubs. In general, both teachers and pupils are hopeful about Poland's membership of the EU, with 66% of teachers saying accession is beneficial for Poland. At the same time, only 42% of teachers are of the opinion that accession will prove beneficial for the teaching community |
