The Irish Marine Minister, Pat the Cope Gallagher, on 1 July 2005, welcomed the publication of revised trade defence measures, taken by the EU to tackle the damaging effects of farmed salmon being dumped on the EU market by Norway. These measures, which came into force on 4 July 2005, established a minimum import price of €2.81 on all Norwegian imports of salmon into the EU. |
