Press Release: Parliament approves its economic, social and single market priorities for 2016

The European Parliament's plenary session approved on 25 February 2016 three separate resolution embodying the chamber's economic, social and single market priorities for 2016.

MEPs gave their input to the European Council summit taking place on 17-18 March, which was scheduled to focus on the implementation of the Stability and Growth Pact, its social aspects and how to further exploit the economic potential of the single market.
