Press Release: Opening of an exhibition of works of art in the Berlaymont building on 18 May

On Thursday, 18 May 2006, more than 300 European works of art from the 25 Member States of the Union were to take up residence in the European Commission's Berlaymont building. This permanent exhibition was to be opened by the President of the Commission, José Manuel Barroso, and the European Commissioner for Education and Culture, Ján Figel’.
