Press Release: November 2005 – Economic sentiment weakens slightly in both the EU and the euro area

After improving in each of the previous four months, the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) saw a small decline in November 2005 for both the EU and the euro area – by 0.5 points in the EU and by 0.3 points in the euro area. However, owing to its marked increase in October, the indicator still remains clearly above its September value in both areas
